With nearly a decade of clinical experience, Angelina MacLellan-Muise takes a collaborative, client-centered approach to therapy. She works with individuals (19+) and couples across Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick. After several years honing her skills at a reputable private practice in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Angelina returned home to PEI and founded Angelina MacLellan-Muise Psychological Services in the summer of 2024. She offers both in-person sessions and secure virtual appointments to best meet the needs of her clients.
Angelina is a Registered Psychologist with the PEI Psychologists Registration Board. Her registration is based on her Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of Western Ontario. She also holds a PhD in Interdisciplinary Studies (Psychology and Law) from Dalhousie University.
Angelina has extensive training and experience supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, mood concerns, relationship difficulties, and adjustment challenges such as separation, family changes, and educational or career transitions. She also works with individuals coping with grief, stress, and burnout, offering compassionate support during challenging periods of life.
Angelina is trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples (EFT-C) and works closely with couples to improve communication, rebuild trust, and strengthen emotional connection. She has also completed training in Prolonged Exposure (PE) therapy for PTSD, an evidence-based treatment for individuals experiencing trauma-related symptoms.
Angelina believes that a strong therapeutic relationship is central to meaningful change. She strives to create a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental environment grounded in empathy, openness, and trust. Her therapeutic work draws on evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), depending on each client’s unique needs and goals.
In addition to therapy services, Angelina also offers psychological assessment services for a range of mental health concerns, including Adult ADHD assessments.
Andrea Krygier
Registered Psychologist
With 30 years of clinical experience, Andrea is a Registered Psychologist committed to helping individuals, couples, and families lead more meaningful, fulfilling lives. Her approach combines warmth, empathy, and respect with a passion for empowering clients to overcome challenges and achieve personal growth.
Drawing on training from both North American and European/South American schools of psychology, Andrea integrates short-term, solution-focused techniques with deeper exploration of the root causes of distress. This eclectic approach blends psychoanalytic, cognitive-behavioural, narrative, and culturally sensitive methods, allowing her to tailor therapy to each client’s unique needs. Andrea specializes in a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, chronic illness, work stress, existential crises, and relationship issues. She also has extensive experience supporting clients through acculturation challenges, LGBTQIA-related concerns, trauma, fertility struggles, and chronic pain.
As a bilingual psychologist, Andrea offers services in both English and Spanish, creating a safe, inclusive space for clients from diverse backgrounds. Whether in individual or couples therapy, she fosters a collaborative, compassionate environment where healing and growth can flourish. Andrea holds a Licentiate in Psychology from the University of Buenos Aires (1995) and a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of Ottawa, after immigrating to Canada in 1999.
Andrea is now accepting referrals for virtual therapy from individuals and couples living in Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, or New Brunswick and looks forward to partnering with clients on their journey toward self-discovery, healing, and a brighter future.
Mary Jane Neitz
Registered Counselling Therapist
With over 20 years of experience in the helping profession, Mary Jane is a dedicated and compassionate counselling therapist specializing in supporting youth, individuals, and couples. Holding a degree in Social Work, Education, and a Master’s in Counselling Psychology, she has a rich background in mental health, having worked with military families, facilitated DBT groups, and served as a school counselor.
Mary Jane is trained in several evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Emotion-Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT). She offers a holistic, client-centered approach that empowers individuals to navigate life’s challenges, including anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relationship issues, and personal growth.
As a registered counselling therapist on PEI, Mary Jane is deeply committed to creating a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to explore their emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. Her approach fosters healing, resilience, and emotional well-being, helping clients build the skills and strengths necessary for lasting positive change. With a passion for empowering others, she works collaboratively with clients to support their journey toward a fulfilling and balanced life.
